Following successful tenures at Xerox Corporation and Coldwell Banker Commercial Real Estate in Nashville, Tennessee, Led found himself asking the question "If I could live anywhere in the world, no holds barred, where would it be?" Having had close ties to the Colorado Rockies since his youth, Led first made a part time move to Vail in the winter of 1989.

Moving to the Vail Valley full time in 1998, Led quickly established a successful reputation in the luxury real estate market as a broker at Ron Byrne & Associates, where he focused solely on the sale of high-end, multi-million dollar properties. His next step was as a lead Partner at Sonnenalp Real Estate, with a continued focus on listing and selling luxury real estate in the Valley's most prestigious markets. He and his Partners quickly established the firm as the Valley's #1 boutique, luxury real estate brokerage, which led to an affiliation with world renowned Christie's Great Estates.

For years, Led was widely acclaimed as one of the Vail Valley's top listing brokers of high end properties. Yet his experience in listing luxury real estate led him to recognize the inherent conflict of interest involved when exclusively representing owners, while at the same time working with potential buyers of their properties.  This is one of the rarely discussed "gray areas" of the real estate business.  No matter what others might say, it is virtually impossible to fairly and aggressively represent both sides in a transaction. Considering the multi-million dollar value of luxury real estate in the Vail Valley, there is much at stake for all parties involved.

Led was further inspired by the business model of The Staubach Company, a world-wide leader in tenant/buyer representation in the commercial real estate arena, and a firm with whom he competed in years gone by.  He observed first-hand how readily the leaders of Fortune 500 companies understood the benefits of having a skilled broker exclusively on their side when negotiating large commercial transactions. 

Taking this model a step further, Led reasoned that the highly successful executives and entrepreneurs who populate the Vail Valley would appreciate this same level of absolute loyalty and professional service when acquiring multi-million dollar, luxury real estate for their families.  The early successes of his firm have proven his instincts true. 

Giving back to his profession, and his community, is another passion. Two years as a Director of the Vail Board of Realtors was a fantastic experience, a time during which the Board was undergoing many changes and technological advances. Led's service as a Trustee on the Bravo! Vail Valley Music Festival Board of Directors has also been most gratifying.  Experiencing world class performances in front of a full house at the Ford Amphitheatre always brings a smile to his face.  Serving on the Council of the Mount of the Holy Cross Lutheran Church has provided a way to give back to something of great importance to his family, and volunteering for Ski Club Vail events is just fun, plain and simple!

Now in his late-forties, Led remains most grateful to have the opportunity to build a business, and raise a family, in this beautiful part of the world.  Led, Connie and Chase thrive on the many activities that surround them, with a special passion for skiing and biking. Looking back over the past eighteen years in the Vail Valley brings about a feeling of heartfelt gratitude, something Led enjoys sharing with his clientele, family and friends.
